Parking will be free across Abu Dhabi and Dubai for six days next week in celebration of Eid Al Adha.

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority said it would waive parking fees across the emirate — except in multi-level parking terminals — from Sunday, August 19, to Friday, August 24, with tariffs reactivated on Saturday, August 25.

Abu Dhabi's Department of Transport said parking would be free in the capital for the same period of time and called upon motorists not to park their vehicles in prohibited areas or to block traffic flow.

Dubai's public transport timetables will also change during the Eid holiday.
