The quaint English countryside got a taste of Dubai automotive steel when wide-eyed patrons at one of the UK’s most prestigious motoring events witnessed a Fenyr SuperSport tear through the greenery.

The UAE-manufactured supercar, which can reach 100kph from a standing start in 2.8 seconds, showed off its futuristic carbon-fibre bodywork alongside a host of motoring rarities at the Heveningham Concours event.

It’s not known whether any of the local landed gentry lost their top hats as the vehicle tore past, but that wouldn’t be an outrageous suggestion as the 3.8-litre, twin-turbo engine delivers 800hp and can reach 400kph. Suffice to say, you won’t get that out of a Chevrolet Spark.

The UK event, which takes place in the grounds of Heveningham Hall, a Georgian stately home in Suffolk, includes a hill climb for owners and guests along the main estate road, a 50-mile tour through the local countryside, and a separate meet dedicated to aviation.

Led by Founder and CEO Ralph Debbas, W Motors creates vehicles in partnership with automotive companies around the globe. The firm also joined forces with sister-company Iconiq Motors based in China in 2016 with the goal of developing a new design identity.

The first vehicle created by W Motors was the Lykan HyperSport, which achieved notoriety for the manufacturer when it was spectacularly driven off Etihad Towers by actor Vin Diesel in the 2015 film Furious 7 (though CGI may have been involved).

The Fenyr SuperSport is the latest model to be launched by the company, a limited edition with a production run of only 110 cars. The car will be making its next public appearance at the UK’s Goodwood Festival of Speed event next month.
