Ductac Mall of the Emirates is celebrating National Day with free screenings in Arabic and English of the “largest Arabian theatrical production of all time, Freej Folklore”.

Based on the popular animated TV series, Freej the show is directed by its Emirati creator Mohammed Saeed Harib, also the founder of the production studio Lammtara.

The screenings give audiences a chance to experience an “enchanting” blend of dance, music, animation and performance, which will take them on a “magical” journey of discovery through various myths and legends of Arabia.

Described as a “visually stunning theatrical production”, Freej Folklore is an international phenomenon that comes from right here in the UAE, according to Joseph Fowler, the general manager of Ductac.

Freej Folklore was the biggest Arabian multimedia theatrical production ever created in the UAE.  Ductac is a performing arts centre, so what better way for us to celebrate the 41st National Day than by showcasing the very best Emirati creative talent,” says Fowler. “I personally have such respect for its creator Mohammed Harib, who has been so supportive of Ductac.”

Harib, he says, is one of the “best examples of a real cultural -ambassador for the UAE”.

• Freej Folklore is on Sunday at the Kilachand Studio Theatre, Ductac Mall of the Emirates. The English screening starts at 3pm and the Arabic at 6pm. Tickets are free. Contact box.office@ductac.org
