The glamour of Broadway is coming to the UAE in October.

The Best of Broadway concert, to be held at Dubai’s Madinat Theatre on October 5, will feature plenty of songs that first made their mark in the famed New York theatre district.

Guests will get to sing along to favourites from classic shows such as West Side Story, Cats, Les Miserables, The Greatest Showman, Phantom of the Opera and My Fair Lady. A quartet of seasoned professionals will be singing the tunes – Julia Clarke, Wim Hoste, Joseph Terterian and Jin Soo Young.

After winning more than eighty first prizes in singing contests across the United Kingdom, Northern Irish singer and now Dubai resident Clarke has gone on to achieve many more career milestones, including performing at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York and signing in front of Queen Elizabeth II during the monarch’s royal visit to Dublin in 2012.

Clarke will be joined by Hoste, who already has numerous performances at Dubai’s Ductac under his belt, in addition to dates in South Korea and his native Belgium.

Syrian-Armenian artist Terterian is a go-to vocal talent in the Arabic music industry, having sang the theme for Syrian drama Miftah in addition to performing alongside Lebanese stars Marcel Khalife and Charbel Rohana.

Meanwhile, South Korean mezzo soprano, Young, has called the UAE home for more than a decade. Her command of up to six languages means her repertoire is wide, and includes works by Edith Piaf and pieces from operas by Bizet and Mozart.

Tickets cost from Dh125, with early-bird rates available if booked online at www.madinattheatre.com or by calling 04 366 6546
